As a history teacher, I have witnessed firsthand how these factors have impacted the way citizens engage with the democratic process. It is crucial for us to continue educating ourselves and our future generations about the importance of upholding democratic values, respecting diverse perspectives, and actively participating in our democracy to ensure its strength and integrity for years to come.
