The tabloids focus on the attack on child murderer Ian Huntley in prison.
"I've done it! I've done it!" headlines the Sun, quoting the apparent words shouted by the prisoner who allegedly struck Huntley with a metal pole. A source tells the Daily Mirror "the attacker got him when he least expected it". The Daily Mail says Huntley is "close to death".
The paper points to analysis of Home Office figures which suggests the number of "foreign nurses granted entry to Britain has fallen by 93% over three years".

The paper says Lord Mandelson did not respond to requests for comment, but it is known that he stopped being able to access his email address last February. Global Counsel went into administration last week.
